Lidia and Marc got married in the fall of 2024 at Molí de la Torre, a historic estate in the Empordà countryside that once inspired Salvador Dalí. This is the story of their autumn wedding: unpredictable weather, a surprise padel match at cocktail hour, and a golden hour nobody saw coming.

Some weddings are full of surprises, and Lidia and Marc’s was no exception. With the unpredictable weather keeping everyone on their toes and an impromptu sunset that no one saw coming, their day was a perfect mix of careful planning and beautiful spontaneity. It was elegant yet lively, classic yet full of energy, exactly the way they envisioned it.
Desires
For Lidia and Marc, the most important thing was balance. They wanted a wedding that felt both timeless and vibrant, with classic portraits that would stand the test of time and an edit full of color and life. Their loved ones were at the heart of it all, so capturing candid moments of their family and friends was just as essential as their own portraits.
They both got ready at El Molí de la Torre, a venue I personally adore with plenty of possibilities. This place, which served as inspiration for Salvador Dalí, was also where they would later celebrate. Surrounded by family, the anticipation built as they slipped into their wedding attire: Lidia in a stunning gown from Boutique de Novias, paired with Peter Kaiser shoes and Swarovski earrings, and Marc in a sleek suit from Tracció Banyoles. Before heading to the ceremony, their closest friends came to see them, turning those final moments before “I do” into something truly special.

To make sure their photos reflected everything they envisioned, we planned every detail carefully, balancing timeless elegance with a fresh, dynamic approach.
Efficient, intentional portraits: Lidia and Marc wanted to spend as little time as possible on couple photos, so we mapped out the best spots at the venue ahead of time, based on the light and timing of the day. This way, we moved quickly without sacrificing quality.
A vibrant, colorful edit: Their wedding was full of rich tones, lush florals, and golden light, so we leaned into those colors in the final edit, making sure every image felt warm and alive.
Documentary-style storytelling: From the excitement of getting ready to the high-energy rumba set before the party, we captured every real, unfiltered moment: the laughter, the movement, the emotions.
Spontaneous golden-hour magic: Just after dinner, the clouds cleared, and the sun broke through at the perfect moment. I suggested a quick sunset session, and they jumped at the chance. The result? Breathtaking golden-hour portraits that felt completely effortless.

How does it feel to be photographed at your wedding if you are camera-shy?

As a photographer, my goal was to make sure Lidia and Marc’s wedding photos told their story exactly as it happened: full of warmth, joy, and authenticity. The classic portraits captured their elegance, while the documentary moments preserved the real energy of the day. The golden-hour session was an unexpected gift, adding a cinematic, dreamlike quality to their collection.

Finally, just after the dinner the sky cleared up and the sun started shining, just in time for the sunset show. That’s when I decided to ask them if they were keen to go have some photos during the golden hour.
That was all the encouragement they needed. Without thinking it twice we managed to leave 10 mins while everyone was having their coffee and the photos from that moment are pure magic.
